Maintenance Superintendent

  • This position is fly in/fly out from Perth
  • 8 days  on 6 days off  - roster
Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, gymnasium.

Salary package includes all company benefits, superannuation, and premium private health cover for the whole family, income protection, salary continuance, salary packaging options and 20 days annual leave per year.

Reporting to: Open Pit Manager

Open Pit Maintenance Superintendent:
Scope:
  • Responsible for ensuring all open pit maintenance processes are developed as part of the operational readiness phase of the Feasibility Study and are ready for implementation upon Project approval.
  • Your key role upon Project Approval will be to manage the Open Pit Mine Maintenance Department
  • Ensure that all open pit mining plant and equipment is maintained to meet budgeted availability within the budgeted cost.
  • You required to integrate the open pit maintenance department into the overall site maintenance function.
  • You will have over ten years (10 Years) of relevant trade experience, with at least five years (5 years) or more being at a supervisory level.
  • Your ability to safely lead, motivate and influence others whilst building and maintaining effective relationships across the operation will ensure your success in this position
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications/skills and experience :
  • Relevant experience in large open pit hard rock mining which will include the supervision of the mobile equipment maintenance, workshop personnel and associated contractors
  • Experience in the development of processes and procedures to industry best practice
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in WA.
  • Experience in developing budgets and  managing costs and a demonstrated ability to meet KPI targets & deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in the implementation of process improvement and the application of continuous improvement ideas
  • Committed to high quality safety, health and environmental practices should be able to demonstrate shared values in this area.
