A leading engineering consultancy based in Melbourne that also has a global presence and offices in over 30 countries. Specialising in a number of sectors including, Water, Rail, Mining, Energy and Resource. Now have an urgent requirement for an experienced Mid to Senior Level Engineering Geologist with local Victorian experience to join a multidisciplinary CBD team on a permanent basis.
You will be required to provide support to the team, assisting with all aspects of field work and site investigations and analysis of local major infrastructure projects. You will ideally have a consultancy background with experience of project management, working within multi-disciplinary teams. You will also have experience of planning and implementing field investigations, specialist geological assessments and analysis of results of boring/drilling phases. The client works on huge projects which are diverse and cover anything from, Foundations, Tunnelling and Dams to name a few.
The successful candidate will ideally have local experience in Victoria, familiar with the soils, codes and regulations. A degree in Geology with a relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred. Circa 4+ years experience in a similar role ideal (will consider interstate candidates, depending on background). Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must in this role as there are technical aspects involved such as report writing, mapping and geological data analysis.
