Department Description
- [Company] . in Bethlehem, PA, has a position opening for a Proposal Engineer in its Customer Service Sales Department.
Brief Description
- This position is responsible for maintaining the timely response of proposals and the on time delivery of orders placed with the department. The employee will be required to oversee accounts in their sales group to ensure profitability of the department. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that projects are properly implemented to fulfill contractual, corporate and divisional requirements. This position is responsible for maintaining effective communications and client relationships as needed to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Detailed Description
- Responsible for providing technical, pricing, delivery, and other sales information, as assigned, to support the Aftermarket sales function. Provide quick and accurate responses to customer phone and written inquiries to assure customer needs are being satisfied.
- Responsible for analysis of assigned written and telephoned orders to assure that contract terms, specifications, and pricing conform to customer and [Company] Inc. requirements. Manage progress for assigned contracts and/or targeted customers. Take action, as necessary, to assure on-time delivery while maintaining good communications to keep customer informed of project status.
- Communicate with [Company] Inc. personnel and those company functions that are involved in costs, schedules, quality, and all other aspects of customer inquiries and project management, as may be required to assure that a high level of customer satisfaction is being achieved. Coordinate efforts with FLS-India to ensure clear communications and quick turn-around of proposals/orders.
- Offer equitable solutions for the timely resolution of any customer claims and complaints including collection of past due accounts. Follow up as required to ensure a prompt settlement is obtained on all warranty and return material claims. Support the [Company] Inc. Quality System in your day-to-day job duties and ensure the highest level of compliance with Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions.
- Visit customers to promote customer satisfaction and new products and services.
- Report contract status to the supervisor cement parts.
- Create opportunities for up-selling and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Spanish language skills preferred
- College degree required
- Candidate will be considered based on substantial work experience in sales/customer service/technical background.
- The position requires a thorough knowledge of [Company] equipment and the process of making cement.
