Tasks

• This position is responsible for business development and commercial activities in the Innovation Ventures Group to drive successful launch of new business platforms.  Key Responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute the right strategies to capture commercial opportunities associated with IVG new business platforms, including all sales and marketing related activities.
• Collaborate across the enterprise to build organizational capability to execute on adjacent and white-space new business opportunities.
• Build, support, and lead teams to transition new business platforms into the operating units/segments.
• Negotiate and close deals (e.g. with suppliers and customers) as needed to launch new business platforms
• Be aware of major market and technology trends and actively strive to identify opportunities for new innovation ventures, and contribute to the development of technology, marketing, and business unit strategies.
• Establish, manage and provide feedback on a regular basis for staff expectations and performance metrics.
• Lead day to day activities of IVG staff members.

Requirements

• The position requires someone with Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or other technical discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Physics), as well as an MBA or at least 10 years’ experience in marketing or sales leadership roles.  The applicant must have experience commercializing new product or technology platforms.  The successful applicant will have demonstrated excellent Influence Management skills, Communication skills, and Negotiation skills.  He/She must be able to manage multiple programs simultaneously, and be resourceful in identifying and securing resources for those programs.
