This global organisation specialises in designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing an extensive range of heavy mining products and services. This client services for Australia and also the international market. They are renowned for their reputation in the industry for being a leader in their field. The Role
Based in Brisbane area and reporting to project manager this role involves:
  • Providing engineering design advice, for a range of manufacturing elements 
  • Liaise with the General Manager, Production Manager and the design team.
  • Responsible for checking design drawings and products ensuring fabrication and manufacturing processes meet clients and company's strong quality control demands. 
  • Ability to identify design faults
  • Provide technical solutions
You
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, prepare, check detailed drawings
  • 8+ years experience
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent proficiency of using AutoCAD
  • Have extensive problem solving skills
  • Experience in the manufacturing of heavy equipment
  • Ability to deliver high level of technical advice and solutions from concept to manufacturing
