Underground Fitters - Mastermyne
As a market leader in the Australian coal mining industry, Mastermyne is seeking trade qualified Mechanical Fitters to safely mine coal and provide mine services. These are a permanent positions located in the Illawarra, NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Safely mine coal and provide mine services in any area of the mine including Longwall, Development, Outbye and Surface.
- Know when to stop work due to unsafe conditions.
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely with a focus on meeting or exceeding client production and operational targets.
Requirements:
- Applicable Trade Certificate
- Experience with the use, repair, maintenance and fault finding of mechanised mining methods particularly continuous miners, diesel machinery, shuttle cars, drill rigs, and hand held bolters.
- Experience working in an underground mining environment where gas and outburst conditions are encountered.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with the repair and maintenance of underground development equipment.
