External Communications Supervisor

Responsibilities:
  • The role is responsible for the effective implementation of all external communications initiatives including management and supervision of interactive production of project communications materials and tools, institutional advertisements, and development of information and education campaign materials and collaterals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the mobile Community Information and Resource Center (mCIRC) and permanent Community Information Resource Center (pCIRC) to ensure staging programs are carried out efficiently and timely.
  • Develop and implement communications plans that effectively convey SMI’s strategic messages through various media and fora.
  • Provide technical inputs in the conceptualization, production, and roll-out of traditional and new media for the delivery of approved messages and storylines to build a positive public image for SMI.
  • Contribute to the design, development, production, and implementation of social marketing programs and communication strategies.
  • Support the creation and institutionalization of SMI’s corporate identity.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of any Communications-related degree
  • At least five (5) years experience in communications work with at least two (2) years spent in a supervisory role
  • With prior involvement in planning for and implementation of both corporate and development communication programs, conceptualization, and production of communication materials
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Proficient in the use MS Office applications and layouting / graphics / publishing software such as Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Excellent communication skills
  • With high level of analysis, flexibility, planning, organisation, and coordination capabilities
