Long Term Planning Engineer - Cobar, Generous Relocation

This organisation is an international mining company with assets across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia at varying stages of lifecycle.  As a company they have a strong focus on safety, productivity and employee engagement and are a highly desirable employer with a track record in staff retention, development, and competitive remuneration.
 
Due to project lifecycle stage a new and pivotal position exists to design future planning and extraction capacities and planning for the future of this established mine site. This is an outstanding opportunity to make yourself central to the future plans and viability of this site with the role exposing you to all commercial and operational facets. With full relocation expenses provided and a competitive remuneration this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced mining engineer to step into a senior role with an international organisation. In addition to the day to day duties this role will also be tasked with determining the future direction of the entity strategy and planning and design of underground and surface mining in conjunction with the senior management team.
 
Specifically, you will be responsible for SMP designs incorporating mine development and services infrastructure.  Budgeting and forecasting will be at the core for this position with assistance required in creating budget and life of mine schedules (including reserves) along with quarterly reforecasting and project evaluation. As a senior member of the team you will also take a lead in mentoring junior colleagues, working closely with the senior management team including operations and geology contributing towards a safe and healthy work environment.
 
This would suit an ambitious mining engineer with a proven track record having gained previous experience in UG mining (specifically decline and long hole methods) with a focus on ventilation, production and short term planning.  As a senior member of the technical services team you will possess excellent interpersonal, leadership and planning skills with a good level of commercial acumen.  Experience with specialist mining software such as Vulcan, Mineworks or similar is essential and a bachelor of engineering (mining or equivalent) is essential.
