Project Geologist


Great opportunity for a Project Geologist to join a rapidly expanding coal mining organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for geologist looking to enhance and develop their geological skills coupled with working with a highly reputable organisation.


The Project Geologist role will involve: 

• Expediting exploration and resource evaluation programs
• Supervising and coordinating drilling programs
• Drill core & chips logging
• Submitting samples for analysis and testing
• Interpret geological logs
• Organising geological data and database management
• Responsible for geological modelling and program design
• Supervising and mentoring junior geologists

Job Requirements for Project Geologist:
 

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline.
• Relevant coal mining experience.
• Experience in logging, high wall mapping and sampling
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Good working knowledge of Geology software especially vulcan.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic work environment.
• Need excellent experience in data collection and interpretation.
• Resource modelling experience will be highly regarded.
