Geotechnical Engineer

My Client is an international gold producer operating four mines in Australia and Africa, their goal is to increase stakeholder value while having a positive impact for the communities involved in their mining projects. 

They are currently seeking a  Geotechnical Engineer to join their Fantastic team who will be reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer.  
  
Responsibilities
  • Planning and stope designs
  • Seismic monitoring and analysis
  • Assessment and implementation of ground control plans
  • Geotechnical input for Life of Mine projects and sequencing
  • Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, this position will require the candidate to work individually and within the mining team.
Requirements
  • 3+ yrs Experience in an Underground Mine
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology, Mining Engineering, Engineering Geology or Mining Geomechanics
  • Sound knowledge of rock mechanic principles and theory
  • Excellent communication skills
