About our Client
Currently constructing a large Iron Ore mine with further blue chip projects in the pipeline, this client now seeks the skillset of a vastly experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer with extensive mining experience. This lead role will report to the Commissioning Manager to ensure the effective commissioning of the Electrical Drive System including the VSD as the project moves into its final stages.

Job Description
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, this role will entail the following duties; 

• Preparation of commissioning packages 
• Co-ordination of sub contractors for commissioning activities 
• Project manage activities with responsibility for communication between internal teams and key external clients 
• Responsible for delivery of complete product packages, this includes inspections and investigation of incomplete installations 
• Analyse, survey and ultimately approve the electrical drive system with a strong focus on the concentrator VSD system

The Successful Applicant
The successful Commissioning Engineer will need to possess; 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering would be highly regarded or a minimum of 15 years commissioning experience will suffice 
• Strong knowledge of Electrical and Variable Speed Drive systems installation and commissioning 
• Project management skills regarding communication and co-ordination 
• Ability to manage project data effectively in order to provide detailed project scope
