SMP Supervisor

You will be working with a results focused engineering consultancy that can provide you with the opportunity to further your experience in the mining  industry. They have the capacity to work across every phase of a project and can offer you unique and interesting project work as well as a welcoming work environment and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring, auditing and reporting on overall quality of work for the SMP work packages
  • Ensuring “As built” drawings are progressively developed by the contractors, document controls are adhered to and checked / signed off as required
  • Ensuring that the contract work progress is in accordance with the scope of work, drawings, specifications, lists, etc
  • Assisting in approving contractor’s progress claims against contracts, including any authorised extra works
  • Keeping the Construction Manager informed of any changes that will affect project goals
  • Ensuring all works carried out comply with the client and Australian Quality Standards
  • Attending weekly Contractor meetings
The following experience/skills are required for this position
  • 7+ years experience in the construction of minerals processing plants
  • 3 + years experience in direct supervision positions of construction projects overseeing the SMP contractors
