Shift Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a mining producer that has an excellent reputation in the Australian market. They have a new operation in the Goldfields which currently requires a Shift Supervisor with a good understanding of the flotation process.
 
This role will be one of four Shift Supervisors, overseeing the day to day operations and reporting into the Production Superintendent. Your duties will include managing the crushing and processing operations, through to managing the tailings and paste plant. You will also be responsible for rostering the operators, making sure the team have the expertise to meet production targets on each shift. You will provide ‘hands on’ training and ensure the team operate in a safe working environment. This role will liaise with the maintenance team to identify maintenance requirements and plan maintenance activities.
 
As the successful applicant you will have worked as a Shift Supervisor within a flotation plant. You will have a good understanding of the whole process with a thorough understanding of the control room, the grinding process, sag mills and thickeners. This role will benefit from individuals holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to help mentor a new team.  In addition to the above you will have first rate communication skills, able to work in middle management and take direction and give instruction.
