                       Underground Drill & Blast Engineer

This mid tier mining company has mining operations in both overseas and also in Australia in which currently they are experiencing significant growth and they require a Underground Drill & Blast Engineer for this residential role based out of Kalgoorlie.

As a successful candidate your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide stope drill & blast designs in timely matter for stoping blocks
  • Maintain QA assurance standards
  • Conduct audits and inspections of drill & blast requirements
  • Preparing daily and weekly drill and blast schedules
  • Analysis and performance improvement
  • Providing planning services in short, medium and long term
  • Supervision of junior engineers and other technical staff in their day to day activities
  • Project work as required
To be considered for this role you will require:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
  • 1 - 3 years experience in underground mining
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of underground mining cycle and procedures
