Mine Manager - Mining position

• Vacant Position: Mine Manager
• Reason for Vacancy: New Position
• Direct Line Manager: CEO
• Location: Mbali Mine - Ogies Area, Mpumalanga
• Responsibility: Mine Manager for two mining operations and a processing plant (the mines are 8kms apart)
• The mining operations may be outsourced
• Remuneration Range: R1,450K - R1,600K per annum negotiable
• Excluding Discretionary Bonuses
• Commencement: As soon as possible

Qualifications & Training

• BSc (Mining) or equivalent qualification
• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• Understanding of applicable legislative requirements

Experience

• A minimum of 8 years senior management experience in a coal mining operation
• Practical experience in the following areas -
• Budgeting and Financial Management
• Mining - opencast operations
• Processing Plants
• Mine Planning and Scheduling
• Export Markets
• Strategy Development and Execution/Implementation
• People Management
