Mining/Survey Draughtsman

My client is a leading petrochemical company and they are urgently seeking a Survey Draughtsman to join their team in Secunda. SA citizens only and preferably AIC candidates if possible.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics (non negotiable)
  • CAD experience and expertise (non negotiable)
  • Survey Draughting certificate
  • 2 years experience in a mining or survey environment
  • 1 year practical experience in Survey draughting and relevant legislation

Job Specification

  • Draughting and updating of all mine statutory plans
  • Draughting and updating of mine geological plan, mine ventilation plan, mine working plans
  • Construction of all require mineral rights plans
  • Draughting of accident plans
  • All ad-hoc draughting requirements
  • Assist with mine planning process (Xpac modelling)
  • Seek and implement best practices regarding survey and draughting work
  • Address deviations and follow up
  • Adhere to required Codes and Practices
