General Manager position based in Central Africa

Minimum Requirements

• General Manager 
• Valid Passport

Job Specification

• Experienced as a branch manager or assistant branch manager;
• Be sales-based with admin./finance awareness
• Familiar with mild steel products and aware of the types of steel used in the mines;
• Comfortable using computers or keen to learn;
• Sensitive to working in a culturally different environment;
• Able to make sensible decisions with a minimum of supervision;
• Able to get on with a wide range of customers and business contacts;
• Able to implement and maintain Group Policies at the branch, insofar as they are workable in the Zambian / DRC environments;
• Adaptable in both business and personal life.

Advantageous if:

• Has worked in a branch dealing with mines-based customers;
• Is familiar with, or has worked in a developing African country.
