Surveyor ( Mining Industry )

 
Description:
The chosen candidate will be responsible for reporting directly to the Area Manager- Mine Operations and Engineering and will be primarily responsible for all survey related activities.
 
Survey activities include the layout and pick up of blast patterns and loading and dumping areas, pit dewatering layouts, wall monitoring, and reporting. Updating drawings using AutoCAD and Vulcan, and other projects such as mine planning will be required. Experience:
 
The chosen candidate will ideally be a graduate of the Surveying Engineering Technology diploma program, or other related program and have 2-5 years of experience in a similar position.
 
The desired candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and willing and able to work in extreme and adverse weather conditions when necessary.
