Ventilation Officer - Underground Coal Mine
Location - close to Emerald QLD - Full Relocation Role

This company is one of the highest producing underground coal mines in Australia. You will be joining a team that is highly successful and with a positive attitude and drive for improvement. You will be in a small community with a small population of approximately 15,000 people with all the amenities such as shopping centres, sports fields, schools etc. This is a residential role which will reward you not only with a competitive remuneration you will be able to develop your skills and experience.
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the coal mining Health & Safety Act and the associated regulations in relation to the ventilation standards.
Skills and Experience:
Management of all contractors engaged in ventilation associated duties
Overseeing the construction of approved ventilation control devices
Design, management and monitoring of the mine ventilation
Qualifications:
Essential:
A Ventilation Officer's Certificate and your previous experience in underground coal mine ventilation
Understanding of gas ventilation systems and underground mine systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite as well as mine planning software
Desirable:
A degree in Mining Engineering or tertiary qualifications in an associated field
A Queensland First or Second Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or a Deputies Certificate of Competency
Knowledge of the Savages, Camgas and Segas software packages
