The Company
This mine is one of the largest sites in NSW and is operated by a Global Mining Company that has operations all over the world. Career experience and development are real as there are plans to expand their annual production by at least 5 million tones. They require a Senior Electrical Engineer to work within a team of professionals in their fixed plant assets.
The Position
As a Senior Electrical Engineer your main purpose is to be responsible for the development of electrical designs, specifications, scopes, budget and project schedules across the fixed plant assets. This role also has a project focus as you will need to manage the execution of plant and equipment modifications and small projects across the site.
The Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will have 3 Electrical Engineers reporting to you and you will be working alongside an identically sized mechanical group in a fixed plant environment. It is essential that you have proven supervisory experience and demonstrated success in identifying opportunities to improve equipments performance. It is important that you can manage internal and external relationships as you will be required to provide electrical engineering input into the preparation of capital requests for sustain capital expenditure.
Key Skills Required
- Experience in Statutory Compliance
- Experience in Minerals Processing Plants (Coal Experience preferred)
- Extensive Electrical Engineering Supervisory Experience
- Reliability and Operation Support Experience
- Project Management Experience
- Ability to provide Stakeholder input for major expansions
Key Qualifications Needed
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Membership of I.E. Australia

The Incentives
The base salary will start at approximately $150,000 but can be negotiated if you have exceptional experience. On top of this salary you will be given generous superannuation over 12% and bonuses of 10%. If you would like to relocate to the Hunter Valley, they will also pay for your relocation, offer temporary housing and then provide 6 months rental assistance.
