With a strong reputation across the electrical industry, this multinational company is renowned for quality, reliability and affordability on their excellent range of Protection, Automation Control and Power Solutions services. This manufacturer has an enviable market share within key heavy industrial, mining and utilities sectors across Australia and is experiencing continuous return clientele, technological advancements and improvements as these markets continue to accelerate and are now seeking to employ an Intermediate to Senior Protection Engineer.

As the manufacturer of these products this company will mentor and train the Protection Engineer into an expert on their range of products.

The Role
Due to planned expansion an opportunity has become available for an Intermediate to Senior Protection Engineer to join their team based in Sydney. The responsibilities of the role include:

• Detailed design calculations, specifications and settings across the broad range of protection schemes and control systems - primary, secondary and power generation.
• Act as a technical design and functionality specialist across this company's broad range of protection and control equipment.
• Compile documents and detailed protection reports.
• FDS - Functional Design Settings.
• Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing - FAT's & SAT's.

You
To be successful in this role you will need:

• An Electrical Engineering degree with specific experience in Protection and Control Engineering.
• Technical design knowledge of electrical protection schemes, equipment and related control products.
• HV Substation design skills are highly regarded
• Primary and Secondary Design skills in Generation, Transmission and Distribution.
• Knowledge of ABB, Schneider, SEL, Alstom or Siemens Protection products is an advantage and highly regarded in particular Digsi, and Sipratech.
• Exceptional Communication skills with the ability to lead or present technical discussions with Clients.
