With a strong focus on career development and training, this leading organisation prides itself on being an employer of choice. They are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Advisor to join their team near Mackay.

Reporting to the HR manager you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing training packages for their employees in accordance to the relevant requirements. You will achieve this through the regular analysis of individual business unit's requirements and providing them with ongoing training solutions.

Other responsibilities include managing the apprentice training program, ensuring compliance, and developing and maintaining policies, procedures and training manuals.

To succeed in this role you will possess the following:

• Experience in a similar role within mining, shipping or transport industry
• Minimum qualification - Certificate IV Training and Assessment (additional qualifications preferred)
• E-Learning and Training packages (Designing, Implementing, and Evaluating)
• Experience with coordinating apprentice training programs
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to relate to people within different positions across the workplace
• Thorough understanding of mobile plant licensing requirements
• Proactive with a solutions driven attitude
