Environmental Engineer

About the Job

• This opening is with[Company] , a division of Alcoa Power and Propulsion - a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.
• This position will assess and monitor site compliance with all applicable local, State, and Federal environmental regulations. Works with plant personnel to ensure compliance. Develops and conducts/facilitates required environmental training. Develops, implements and maintains required programs, policies and procedures. Prepares applicable regulatory deliverable reports. Conducts site audits to maintain site compliance. Monitors waste streams & waste products to ascertain ways to minimize or eliminate waste. Must interface with all levels of the organization & external agencies, vendors and contacts.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in EHS, Science, Engineering,
• 3+ years' of applicable experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in [Company] EHS preferred

Certificates in CHMM, PE a plus

Knowledge of applicable EHS regulations/legislative processes

Good computer skills, demonstrates initiative, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization, good oral and written communications skills, ability to work in a team environment.

Depending on qualifications and experience, this position may be filled as a grade 14-16.
