Mechanical Engineers

My client are a large global and successful mining organization who are now looking to recruit Mechanical Engineers for the design side of underground mining infrastructure projects. The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• To ensure that internal and external regulations and standards that are related to mechanical engineering are upheld.
• Promote innovation and improvement to the design of the mines mechanical infrastructure.
• Prepare schedules for design work to enable mechanical engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget
• Provide and ensure that all mechanical engineering plans are up to date.

 
The requirements for the Mechanical Engineer are:

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in the infrastructure design of underground shafts, crushers and conveyors.
• Good working knowledge of mechanical design standards, relevant codes and recommended practices is required.
• Need a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience designing for underground mining projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
