QA / QC Welding Inspector

Barclay Recruitment are currently representing a highly respected manufacturing company involved in a number of significant projects within Queensland.  
 
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for verifying that approved welding procedures and methods are being used by qualified personnel. Ensuring construction and fabrication activities are being conducted in accordance to procedures and items conform to specifications and design. You will be conducting inspections activities of welds, codes of practice and purchase order requirements as well as coordinating testing, monitoring welder repair rates and providing technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control. 


You must possess significant experience as QC Inspector and hold a Welding Supervisors Certificate 10 AS 1796 or AS 2214 or equivalent. You will also have sound working knowledge of Australian standards and codes as well as NDT knowledge, with strong communication skills and an intermediate proficiency in office suite.
