Senior Procurement Officer (numerous positions)


The Position:

Our client a global EPCM leader is currently seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their team. The role primarily will be issuing of tender document, evaluation, recommendation for award and award of capital engineering equipment for mineral processing plants.


The key responsibilities of the position will include but not be limited to the following:

• Manage the accuracy of procurement requirements by liaising with relevant departments to ensure full compliance to schedule requirements and procurement procedures are strictly maintained.
• Support the Procurement team in everyday procurement processes by monitoring and assisting procurement staff with issuance of tender enquires, bid evaluations and negotiations, recommendations for award and preparation of requisitions.
• Assist in meeting project timelines by facilitating the timely delivery of equipment and services to the project
• Provide support, mentoring and training to Procurement team members
• Comply with quality assurance policies; occupational health and safety policies, procedures and requirements
• Some travel will be required for this position

The successful candidate:

To be considered for this position you must have the following criteria;

• 5+ year experience in a similar senior procurement position
• Experience working with EPCM Contractors catering to the resource sector
• Strong negotiation skills is essential
• The ability to supervise and mentor others
