Lead Electrical Engineer

Our client:

A well known leader in project management and engineering. Due to the commencement of a new project they are seeking to recruit an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis with the potential to go permanent.


The Position:

The key aspect to this position is to ensure that electrical design is delivered on time and according to the required standard on each project/study. This is achieved by providing a high level of expertise and supervising the performance of electrical engineers on projects.


Other key responsibilities include:

-Contribute to the cost efficient delivery of electrical engineering by managing man-hour budget; reviewing and approving electrical man-hour and capital cost estimates;

-Review and improve design standards and procedures;

-Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidates will have the following key attributes:

-Degree in Electrical Engineering

-Relevant Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control System Design experience

-Experience in one of the following industries mining, mineral processing, materials handling and heavy industrial;

-Ability to lead and coach a team

-Excellent communication skills
