The Company
As a leading Queensland provider of industrial surface preparation and protective coatings, is currently seeking to appoint an energetic production manager to lead and assist in the ongoing development of the production process and team.
Working within a fast paced and at time demanding environment, the key to your success will be the ability to understand the daily and weekly production demands and required outcomes and in taking a proactive approach in forward planning production runs. You will also be required to liaise and work directly with the production team to achieve on time productivity and maintaining contact with clients to assure delivery times. An understanding of job costing and estimation is also required, as you will maintain an understanding of project profitability as it progresses through the production phase.
Your Responsibilities:
-Production efficiency and improvement implementation
-Managing inventories & staff acquisition
-Production reporting, compliance & analysis of system requirements
-Manage production variances
-Ensure QC & QA compliances & specifications
Your Skills & Experience:
-Protective coatings and abrasives knowledge
-Relevant Trade background
-Management & supervisory experience
-OH&S training
- Sound written and verbal skills
- Have a strategic decision making mind set with a professional manner
- NACE certification would be an advantage
