Warehouse Team Leader - Deliveries

Our client who is within the Mining Industry is looking for a Warehousing Team Leader to join their team. Candidates based in the Gauteng area and who have the relevant qualifications and experience within the Mining Industry will be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehousing
• Storage, Transportation and Housekeeping
• Stock Taking
• Warehouse Equipment Maintenance
• Safety, Health and Environment
• People Supervision
• Policy, Strategy, Processes, Systems and Reporting
• Relationships
• Work with the Warehouse Team Leads, Receiving, Collections and the Inventory Team to ensure the end-to-end effective and efficient functioning of the warehouse
• Provide regular feedback to the Warehouse and Inventory Manager regarding performance and potential issues
• Implement safe cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
• Assist with ad hoc tasks, initiatives or projects related to the management and improvement of inventory as well as the overall Supply Chain

Qualifications / Education:

Essential:

• Grade 12
• Valid Code 8 drivers license and Fork Lift License
• Diploma, preferably in logistics and/or materials management. Alternatively, a relevant combination of formal (Supply Chain related) qualifications and additional specialised studies

Desirable:

• Membership of relevant professional body e.g. SAPICS, CIPS
• Other valid vehicle licenses

Experience / Competencies:

• In depth knowledge of and experience in Inventory and warehouse management best practice principles;
• Professional experience (5 years) in warehousing
• Experience in supervising teams
• Relevant ERP system experience, preferably SAP Materials Management
