Availability Coordinator

SMS Equipment Inc. supplies equipment parts and service to the construction, forestry and mining industries and utility product users. It was created to provide customers with integrated solutions and to expand our service capabilities as a nationwide organization.

The Role:

• Determines job scope and requirements in consultation with supervision.
• Review initial job priority and relative status to other work orders before filing in accordance with formal procedures.
• Maintains work status reports for job set ups.
• Reviews and understands craft requirements, issuing sub-orders and maintaining total job coordination responsibility.
• Sources materials and tools required to perform the work using part inventory or local suppliers and verifies their availability before the scheduled job as required.
• Assures a quality product by conducting in-process inspections and evaluation the finished product.
• Assists with requisitions for ordering of material is as required.
• Assists in work orders and warranty claim repair orders.

Qualifications:

• Engineering certification is an asset experience in an industrial setting.
• Above average organizational skills.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Previous fleet management experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of OH&S acts and regulations as well as fleet inspection requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office computer programs
