Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist

Position Summary

  • The Human Resources Coordinator - Generalist will provide assistance to the Human Resources department with the confidential administration, implementation and control of Human Resource policies and procedures to ensure that pay and benefits are provided to employees accurately and consistently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete the On-Boarding process for all new hires, including Orientation and Benefits Orientation.
  • Analyze employment data, and prepare reports.
  • Conduct Exit interviews.
  • Assist with the development of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Train employees on new policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Interview candidates
  • Advertise as needed for job opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of Merit Increases and ICP#s.
  • Monitor job descriptions and performance plans
  • Address employee relations issues and employee concerns
  • Assist in the administration of the E-Recruiting and Learning Management systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of Salary Recommendations.
  • Maintain employee information in SAP as needed.
  • Maintain disciplinary files
  • Process Unemployment forms.
  • Manage Drug Testing program.
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Process New Hire paperwork, enter New Hires in SAP, request and process ESS ID#s.
  • Explain company policies and procedures to employees
  • Assist employees with benefit issues.
  • Assist in the resolution to payroll issues.
  • Assist with Grievance issues from the Teamsters.
  • Assist in the response to EEOC claims.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Ability to work safely, and maintain an Absolute Zero work environment
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, and other relevant office software and devices
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude combined with a strong work ethic
  • Strong organization skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a team environment and ability to resolve employee issues, which requires the ability to deal effectively with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Requirements

  • 3-5 Years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Excellent computer skills and efficient use of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
