[Company] Constructors is the construction arm of [Company] and is a licensed, bonded general contractor, performing all of the Company’s at-risk construction and design-build projects, with a strong focus on wet infrastructure.
[Company] Constructors provides construction management-at-risk, construction management-as-agent, design-build and general contracting services for water and wastewater facilities, government buildings, environmental remediation, produced water and other projects that fall within our core competencies. Beginning with pre-construction services, we provide individually tailored “start to finish” construction capabilities to municipal, federal and industrial clients throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, including commissioning and start up services with licensed operators.
[Company] Constructors is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Cost Engineer to support the PIMA County project in Tucson, Arizona. This position will be based at the Tucson project office and will report directly to the Assistant Project Manager. This position will require relocation to the jobsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the project change management process. Work with team members to facilitate delivery of all necessary change notice scope and cost documents from design and subcontractors to obtain client approval.
- Review schedule, progress and productivity of subcontractors. Monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value.
- Develop and prepare both internal and external monthly project progress summary reports.
- Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, home office, and other consultants on all control related activities.
- Assist in mobilization for new project setups.
- Develop budgets, cash flow projections, and any project-specific reports, tools, or spreadsheets for new projects
- Assist with establishing, implementing, and documenting cost control standards.
- Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
- Must be able to relocate to jobsite, and/or travel to a jobsite regularly
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering
- 5 years of project controls, project analyst experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in terms or project size and sophistication.
- Experience with project accounting and general financial management, document management, and project compliance processes & audits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other normal business applications
- Experience with maintaining a project-based Enterprise Resource/Cost Control System
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with Prolog Manager
- Experience with scheduling software (Primavera, Project, etc.)
