Underground Shift Supervisor - Pilbara

Located in Perth, our client is an Australian based mining company with a focus on copper production and exploration. They hold mining and copper exploration activities in both the Pilbara region WA, as well as the Mount Isa Block in QLD.


Due to current expansions and restructuring, our client is currently seeking an experienced Shift Boss/Supervisor to join their team.


Reporting to the Mine Foreman/ Underground Mine Manager, this role is a permanent Fly-In-Fly-Out position on an 8 days on/6 day off roster to the West Australian operation.


It is a requirement of the position that the incumbent has a W.A. Shift Supervisor's Ticket and be totally committed to work within a team environment.


The Responsibilities;
  • Ensure mine production/development is carried out according to plans.
  • Coordinate all work carried out by mining crew.
  • Monitor work carried out by mining crew.
  • Ensure that the work carried out by the mining team is preformed safely.
  • Actively Promote safety awareness and safety training.
  • Keep any daily, weekly, monthly reports as required by management in a timely manner.
The Requirements;
  • Sound working knowledge of all relevant mining requirements and legislation of Western Australia.
  • Ability to create professional, large reports that are cogent and indexed.
  • Capable to plan and coordinate projects to meet work schedules.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Outcome orientated.
  • Professional work ethic and behaviour.
  • Self motivated.
