Senior Structural Designer | Marine

Exciting and challenging new role available for a Senior Structural Designer as an EPCM looks to extend their team in Perth. Here is the chance to work on multibillion dollar mining project while earning excellent rates of pay and on a long term contract. 


In this position you will provide a senior level of technical support and some supervision in relation to structural design drafting services for engineering projects including civil, structural, mining, geotechnical, mechanical, piping, process, electrical and instrumentation engineering


Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Contribute to continuous improvement 
• Contribute to structural design reviews 
• Ensure all structural design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices 
• Liaise with engineers to establish design criteria and ensuring project goals are met; 
• Ensure structural design drawings for engineering projects are completed on time and within budget 
• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs drawings for engineering projects and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works. 
• Proven knowledge of capabilities of the various CAD systems

The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive port/marine or heavy industry design experience on multimillion - dollar projects within a Client or EPCM organization.


As an ideal candidate you will possess:

• 8+ years’ experience in design for engineering projects. 
• Microstation 3D 
• 5 + years in working within an EPCM environment 
• Knowledge of drafting requirements for multiple disciplines 
• Ability to arrange/prepare drawings based on engineering design inputs
