A large Australian mining contractor with open cut coal operations across Australia and internationally. This site is positioned approximately 2.5 hours from Mackay and they are responsible for total mine operation.


You will report directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the mine plan design, plan and production schedules. Leading the surveying and engineering teams you will support site production by offering engineering, technical and environmental advice.


 You will ensure the effective and efficient use of resources to achieve production targets and have a commit to a strong continuous improvement strategy. You will drive safety and environmental performance on site and help to develop a strong high performance business culture.


To be considered for this senior position you will have;

• Experience in developing mine design plans and production schedules
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
• Experience in a similar role preferably in open cut coal operations
• Strong time management and cost management skills
