This is a national company with a 50 year history. In Queensland alone, this company has over $500mill in current projects. With construction due to commence on a newly awarded Main Roads Project in Rockhampton, they are now hiring Site Engineers and Project Engineers who either currently live or are willing to relocate to the Rockhampton region.
Rockhampton is the major regional hub in Capricornia region of Central Queensland. With a population of approximately 100,000 in the region major industries service the mining and grazing sectors. Over the last 5 years the city has undergone a major facelift, with redevelopment of the CBD and expansion of the major shopping centre to create the largest indoor shopping centre in central and northern QLD. Capricornia suits a family and outdoor lifestyle. National parks and beaches are perfect for camping, boating and fishing. Living is still relatively inexpensive, and schools and public services and facilities are at a high standard.
The Role
You will be accountable for providing engineering and support services to support the delivery of a commercially successful project. This will include running the project to time and budget whilst overseeing financials. A heavy focus on quality assurance, safety, planning and subcontractor management while liaising with the client and providing updated progress reports.
About You
- Civil Engineer Degree Qualified or equivalent
- Highly Experienced in Bulk Earthworks, Road Construction, and/or Structures.
- Proven ability to coordinate and monitor cost productivity
- Experienced in the delivery of Australian Main Roads projects
- Demonstrated career stability with significant contractors
