Master Scheduler

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field
• Experience within the related field
• The ideal candidate will have experience working on large complex Mining or Engineering Projects SAP implementation programs
• Proficiency in scheduling methods and procedures related to project work
• Must have excellent skill in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
• Must have worked in an Integrated Project Management environment, member of the PMO and you possess
• Prince 2 Foundation/Practitioner, PMP, PMBOK or similar

Job Specification

• In this role the ideal candidate will design and implement simple global standards, processes and procedures across multiple process areas and mine sites. 
• You will facilitate the development and maintenance of the master project schedules including project planning, resource management, interdependency management and status reporting.
• Determining actual progress on activities schedule, identifying variances, highlighting potential problem
• areas and recommending corrective actions
• Reviewing contractor’s progress updates at required frequency and updating the project Master Programme.
• Providing a Planning and Scheduling function during the early stages in the Project Life Cycle Model
• Providing a Planning and Scheduling function during the Pre-feasibility and Feasibility stages of projects
• Providing a Planning and Scheduling function during the Enquiry & Tender adjunction phases of projects
• Forecasting activity and project completion dates in conjunction with the Project Managers and contractors.
• Identifying the project critical path
• Providing reports and possible solutions on activities affecting or likely to affective critical path
• Providing reports on achievement of key milestones.
• Re-planning activities to provide alternatives to ensure that project deliverables are met (to meet project target dates).
• Reporting on any significant changes to the project schedule
• Developing resource schedules.
• Verifying and ensuring correct codes are applied to activities.
• Give input to the establishment of budget estimates per project.
