Engineer Business Development

Qualifications:

• B. Eng (Mech. or Electr.) or B.Tech (Mech. or Electr.)

Experience:

• 5 - 8 Years in a technical capacity in a heavy engineering industry (Mining, Process plants, etc.) of which 3 - 5 years must be in an integrated clinker and cement plant.

Knowledge:

• Solid, practical and hands on engineering knowledge in relevant field.
• Extensive knowledge of asset care (maintenance) requirements of engineering and processing equipment in heavy industrial environment
• Extensive knowledge of the management of engineering teams in an industrial environment.

• Computer literate in MS Office suite. Knowledge of MS Projects will be advantageous

Duties:

• Technical engineering evaluation of business development opportunities.
• Technical engineering support during construction of plants.
• Asset management system implementation.
• Produce detailed technical reports.
• Engineering technical evaluation of projects
• Engineering technical oversight during construction and commissioning
• Asset performance (reliability, availability, output) inclusive of fault finding.
• Plant performance (Production & Quality)
• Value adding initiatives and cost reductions
• Knowledge and competence transfer to site personnel
• Project management
• Technical reviews
• Technical assistance to plant personnel
• Interpreting and communicating management information
• Willingness to spend several months per annum at construction and /or operating cement sites anywhere in Africa.
