Minimum Requirements

• Minimum N6 /S4 / S5 relevant technical qualification
• Five years relevant industry related experience in a technical field
• Minimum 5 years relevant industry related experience in a management position
• Valid driver’s license and own transport

Job Specification

• Ensure AFS and mine Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance
• Ensure AFS and mine Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance by means of monthly audits
• Ensure AFS Standard operating Procedures (S.O.P.s) compliance
• Attend monthly executive reports meetings with client and AFS Business Intelligence personnel
• Complete quality control inspections on new installations and maintenance and repair  tasks as per relevant AFS S.O.P.’s
• Ensure that all incidents, problems and issues be communicated to the relevant Line manager for immediate attention and possible action
• Constantly liaise with clients regarding status of the AFS systems and staff on the mine. This includes any projects currently being done on the mine.
• Tasking of sub-ordinates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis based on pre planned maintenance schedules and daily breakdowns of AFS and mine equipment
• Full stock control and re-ordering to ensure minimum stock levels are kept at the mine
• Monitoring of daily fuel and lube reports to insure that all AFS systems are functioning within acceptable AFS standards
• Responsible for any function and or duty relevant to the specific mine rules and regulations that have been stipulated for sub contractors such as AFS Group
• Responsible for the checking, approving and final processing of Job Cards, quotes and invoicing on Behalf of AFS Group
• Responsible for the follow up of outstanding invoicing and payments on the mine on behalf of the AFS mining administration
• Ensure that AFS management, BI and the Client are kept informed should there be an incident or failure of equipment on the mine which results in a loss of information or data
• Incumbent must be available for after-hours telephone support for his sub-ordinates whenever required
• Incumbent is to be fully trained in All AFS equipment as he is required to provide support to his sub-ordinates when required
