General Laborer

Summary:

• The person’s main duty consists of general shop tasks and misc. duties using machines and other equipment.
• Training will be provided for this position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Processing of metal screen cloth to include:

• Measuring
• Shearing
• Hooking and packaging
• Picking up and delivering various parts and components to and from customers and vendors
• Operation and safe driving of Forklifts
• Works safely and uses safe techniques
• Applying paint with a roller, brush and sprayer

Maintain clean and safe work areas in the shop to include:

• Sweeping
• Pressure washing

Competencies:

• Good organizational skills
• Very detail-orientated with ability to multi-task
• Requires a “Can Do Attitude” with self-motivation
• Must be proficient with a tape measure

Additional Job Requirements:

• This individual will be required to work in small teams or alone.
• This individual must possess the understanding of process flows within an organization
• This individual must be willing to ask questions when necessary.
• This individual must be able to communicate with management the tasks at hand, as well as the tasks to be completed to gain feedback necessary to complete the tasks.
• This individual must be able to think ahead and keep close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner.
• To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• This individual will be required to work in an efficient and fast paced manner
• Contribution to departmental and product line goals
• This position will require the employee to be working in non-air conditioned facilities. This description is not “all-inclusive” as the nature of the service department is constantly evolving, thus this individual must adapt to daily situations and handle them swiftly and professionally.

Nature And Scope Of Job:

• Requires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
• Requires the ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 50 lbs. or more
• Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
