Job Responsibilities:

From 180 offices worldwide, our more than 8,000 employees work with clients to manage their environmental and engineering activities in a technically sound, economically viable, and socially responsible manner.
- [Company] is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Scientist/Engineer for the Denver office. This individual will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support on a variety of compliance and regulatory projects. This includes developing calculation spreadsheets, data-collection and summation documents, and completing application and other regulatory forms; assisting with and preparing permit applications, SPCC Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), air quality, water management, waste management and other required environmental plans and documents. This person will gain increasing responsibility for project and proposal management through training provided by [Company] and working with senior staff and management. Interacting with clients and regulators to meet task and budget requirements is a key to success in this position. Regulatory review and research will be required along with determining regulatory applicability to processes and problems.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar scientific discipline and 4 to 15 years of related experience in performing general environmental compliance work outlined in the position responsibilities. Experience with web-based environmental management systems considered a plus but not required. The required technical skills that go with this position are: understanding of the basic EPA regulatory structure; the ability to read and comprehend environmental regulations; excellent writing skills; proficiency with Microsoft products and web-based applications including state and Federal regulations and guidance. Candidate will be expected to have a fundamental knowledge of industrial processes and strong skills in mathematics, data manipulation and writing. Candidate must also be capable of effectively representing themselves in a professional setting and possess good communication skills. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to interact with peers to seek-out solutions to complex project problems. Experience in oil and gas is preferred.
