Requirements

• The electrician and electronics maintenance person will have a high school diploma and possess a valid electrician's license or state journeyman certificate with related training, with at least 5 years general maintenance experience, (preferably industrial/commercial).
• The electrician and electronics maintenance person has in depth knowledge of electrical and electronics.
• The electrician and electronics maintenance person must have good people skills, satisfying the internal customers.
• The electrician and electronics maintenance person must be knowledgeable in all aspects of safety, health and environmental protection as related to the maintenance and operation of the plant.
• Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must pass the tow motor driving test.
• Must be able to perform trouble shooting on equipment to help identify failure causes and appropriate preventative measures.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and the installation/operating manuals.

Electrician must also:

• Follow all safety, health, environmental protection, and housekeeping rules and policies in the performance of all duties. Find root causes for equipment failure and implement the repair and improvements needed to prevent repeated failures.
• Complete all paperwork and/or computer entry correctly and fully.
• Clean the work areas after completion of the daily tasks and repairs.
• Ensures that the spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Follow supervisor directions and perform other general maintenance tasks.
