Senior Cost Engineer

My client is an International Process Engineering and Project Management Specialist based on the East Rand of Jhb and is seeking the expertise of a Senior Cost Engineer.

Minimum Requirements

• Min 4 years relevant experience
• A Financial Degree OR Diploma OR Relevant Qualification required
• MS Office knowledge

Job Specification

Purpose of the Role:

• To control and report on the financial status of the project and highlight any deviations timeously. 
• To provide an accurate costing insight as to the status and forecasts of projects.

Key Areas of responsibility:

• Develop and manage a project execution budget in accordance with project scope, requirements and objectives
• Manage the forecasting of orders/contracts, man-hours, IFC, HOE & other costs
• Manage the commitment towards the budget for orders/contracts, man-hours, IFC, HOE & other costs
• Manage the change control for orders/contracts, man-hours, IFC, HOE & other costs
• Manage the expenses for orders/contracts, man-hours, IFC, HOE, other costs & cash flow
• report timeously and accurately represent the status of the project
• perform costing tasks in compliance with company systems, standards and procedures
• ensure continuous contact with the project team for the duration of the project
• Manage the close-out process of a budget/actual data
• Advanced understanding and implementation of LSTK Projects
