The Project Engineer is responsible for managing all construction aspects with regards to the scope, schedule, budget and contractual aspects of designated work on this large green fields project. The most essential requirement for this role will be someone who has previous Car Dumper experience. Being able to approach project tasks analytically and logically.
Managing, mentoring and developing a diverse team of construction staff.
Preparing budgets, forecasts and being able to implement cost control measures.
Understanding equipment application.
Excellent commercial acumen (contracts, procurement, cost, planning etc).
Forming collaborative relationships within the business and externally.
Excellent communications skills especially when dealing with peers, senior management and the client.
Assessing and mitigating project risks.
Understanding and championing HSE regulations and standards
The Project Engineer will specialize in the Mechanical aspects of project development and construction. The Project Engineer will be intimately involved with the entire process, through project conceptualization, Bidding, FEED, EPCM and Project Controls. Working closely with the Project Manager and Bidding Team, the Area Project Engineer will spend most time in Perth with occasional site visits.
As an ideal candidate you will possess:
Tertiary engineering qualifications in mechanical engineering.
At least 5 years Australian experience
Ability to undertake design and engineering of concepts
Ability to think analytically and logically
Ability to prepare budgets and forecasts
Ability to communicate with peers, senior management and Client
Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies
Strong organizational skills
Minimum 10 years experience on EPCM projects
