Our client is a mining powerhouse who has built a reputation as a specialist EPCM for large scale construction & electrical project projects throughout the Pilbara region. This status has enabled our client to experience unprecedented growth through the funding of further expansion projects.
With the approval for the latest funding, the next stage of developments has created a high number of new employment opportunities. This includes the need for an experienced Site Supervisor for a multi stage Electrical Infrastructure Replacement Project to maximise the outport of existing mining operations in the Pilbara.
The scope of work will primarily focus on the upgrade and installation of new infrastructure to further the power generation capacity at existing distribution substations. As the site supervisor for this project you will play a pivotal role in the management of a small to medium team and be responsible maintaining/improving site efficiency while ensuring works are being completed as scheduled. With this role being essential to the construction process you will be granted substantial autonomy in terms of managing your onsite team, which includes all functions & disciplines of onsite activities.
Reporting to Site Management this position should resonate with electrical professionals with extensive experience in the resources sector with direct exposure to HV power infrastructure, 33kV, 11kV and low voltage reticulation and substations. The ideal candidate will not only meet these noted capabilities but will demonstrate an ability to mitigate complex issues and provide leadership and commitment.
Proactive and safety conscious at all times you must be able to carry out the following;
Document and prepare daily reports
Ensure project variations and modifications are approved and signed off
Ensure all testing and check sheets are completed and signed off
Provide commissioning support & implement cost control measures
Provide technical advice when required on work undertaken
Attend prestart, daily and weekly meetings with sub contractors
Review detailed work scopes for each work order
Maintain positive interface with client reps and associated site personal
Ensure activities undertaken follow Company & Client policies and procedures

To be considered for the positions you MUST possess:
A minimum 5 years Supervision experience on large scale projects in the Pilbara
A minimum 5 years EPCM experience
At least ten years specific experience in field works
Electrical Trades Back Ground
Engineering degree or Diploma in Engineering would be highly regarded
A proven track record leading large teams of contractors
Respect and appreciation for traditional owners, indigenous culture and heritage
Be able to liaise with staff on all levels
