Process Plant Manager

Our client listed on the Australian and Canadian stock exchange is an intermediate gold producer with a portfolio of long-life mines providing ore to processing facilities in Eurasia and Australia. They currently require the services of a Process Plant Manager to oversee the day to day processing functions of the (7.5MTPA Oxide ore) Processing Plant; the incumbent will be required to ensure that all functions are carried out in accordance with Companies policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• The management of the Processing Plant overseeing all activities ensuring that the company’s objectives, KPI’s and targets are achieved;
• Participate in liaison with all stakeholders, senior management, and contractors;
• The training/motivating of the staff employed at the Processing Plant.

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering;
• Preferably more than 3 years uninterrupted experience as a Process Plant Manager;
• Heap Leach and a significant amount of CIL or CIP experience;
• Preferably POx (autoclave) experience;
• Proven track record in people management; 
• Well developed scheduling and budgeting skills;
• Good analytical and problem solving skills;
• Understanding of process plant fixed plant maintenance;
