Manufacturing Engineering Technician, 2nd shift
Job Description:
- This position is a second shift night shift Mfg. Engineering Technician with the following duties:
- To support the Production lines in the assembly of BTC/LTC/CTS/TTC series pumps, BLDC motors and Magnum valves. This work is to be accomplished at the Parker Precision Fluidics North Carolina Operations in Mooresville, NC.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
- Works closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production personnel on a daily basis. Performs necessary maintenance on assembly equipment, testing and qualification of test stands and Preventative Maintenance Program. This opening is a non-supervisory position
Essential Functions:
- Daily support of production equipment and products to achieve production goals
- Support 4 BTC lines, 4 motors lines, 2 CTS lines, and 2 Magnum lines
- Routine maintenance of the facilities compressors and filtration/oil seperators
- Troubleshoots and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, parts and equipment for Production and facilities
- Performs Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi, Yearly routine equipment maintenance (PM )
- Document maintenance activities ( Emergency Break downs, Preventive and Predictive )
- Ability to provide technical assistance to production personnel on product failure
- Provide rapid maintenance and repair of equipment failure
- Assist with installation, debug, and validation of process equipment
- Provide technical assistance to engineering on production issues
- Set-up production lines and validates equipment configuration/alignment
- Continually improve the setup, calibration and test procedures used on new and service equipment
- Adjustment and maintenance of automatic crimper
- Review/coordinate on Work Instructions
- Work with vendors to procure new or existing tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Supervise outside contractors for facility equipments ( Yearly PM's)
- Continually examining manufacturing flow and the assembly process
- Utilize Lean Tools (Standard work, 5S, TPM, Visual Management, VS Mapping, etc.)
- Track and order maintenance materials and supplies; Responsible for P-card reconciliation
- Maintain syringe based adhesives
- Build/modify production cells as necessary
- Key member of LEAN Team/Initiate Kaizens
- Participate in Safety and Emergency Response Team
Job Requirements:
- AS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline highly desired. Equivalent experience in related position or field or expertise will be considered.
- Experience in an Mfg./Engineering lab/testing and assembly work.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, including fabrication skills.
- Previous experience with testing of fluidic components beneficial.
- Experience in reading and understanding electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to perform in a team environment.
- Computer skills required include Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Familiar with LabView software is a plus.
