Accounts Payable Officer

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual looking to further their career experience to fill the following position as an Accounts Payable Officer. Based in Perth this role will be involved in capitalisation of this major EPCM including liaising with cost control individuals and the corporate finance team be responsible for authorised distribution of funds to appropriate creditors and claims to personnel within this landmark construction project based in WA. The role provides a high standard of service and quality, and focuses on meeting agreed expectations and deadlines.

 
Duties will include (but will not be limited to):

•  Efficiently disburse authorised funds in accordance with cash-flow requirements 
• Interact with internal project controls 
• Provide support to site based management when relevant 
• Accurately prepare regular monthly financial reporting 
• Maintain general ledger for accounts payable 
• Build and maintain relevant relationships and contacts

As an ideal candidate you will have:

• Previous EPCM or client team experience is preferable 
• 1-3 years accounting experience within the resource sector 
• Experience in use of relevant accounting software 
• A successful track record of accurately analyzing, interpreting and evaluating cost data for large projects.
