CAD Support

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to provide ongoing support for CAD and other drawing office tools as the CAD Support Specialist. Based in Perth this role will be involved in assisting with configuring and supporting the projects Drawing Office software tools and providing support as part of the Information Management and Information Technology service.  

The role provides a high standard of service and quality, and focuses on meeting agreed expectations and deadlines whilst identifying and implementing automation opportunities for to enhance the usability, workflow and productivity.


Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):

• Provide support to all users of Microstation 2D & 3D, CAD Conform, CAD Submittal, Bentley View and Projectwise.
• Provide CAD specific induction for new starters in regard to the CAD setup and provide support to assist as required for new designers.
• Provide support to contractors and project staff /consultants – CAD Conform, CAD build, watermark and conforming issues
• Customisation of Microstation to the specific needs of EPCM Projects (printing, plotting, menus, notifications, workflow, scripting MSVB, automation, development of enhancement opportunities)
• Liaise with Client with regard to changes and improvements to the Client's CAD build and implementation]
• Proactively work with stakeholders to determine opportunities to develop improved ways for project personnel to use software drawing
• Provide support services to the project workshare offices.
• Participate as a member of the Programme Information Management (PIM) Team to assist in implementing the strategic plan for information management and systems automation for this client.

To be successful in the role you will need a demonstrable history of:

• Requires around 5 years plus of CAD support and administration experience.
• Strong technical background, coupled with support and project experience.
• Experience in MicroStation, Scripting, CAD Conform
• Previous EPCM experience will be viewed favorably
• Experience in heavy mining or minerals processing industry will be highly regarded
