Senior Civil Design Drafter-2D

As a number of Australia’s largest mining companies begin to ramp up their production, great opportunities have become available on this mine expansion project.  A large scope of Infrastructure works are to be carried out over the next couple of years  in order to cope, maintain and most importantly grow the export of this largely sought after commodity.


Duties will include:

• Define, review and ensure the quality of the 2D civil drawings aligned with engineering requirements 
• Contribute to the design team’s performance against the planned progress and schedule milestones 
• Perform design reviews 
• Perform additional activities as directed by the Group Design Manager

Candidates that have or are actively working in a design capacity are exactly what we are looking for, civil design can be applied in many ways but this particular project will include drainage, roads, and buildings and associated mine infrastructure. To be successful all candidates will have experience with bulk earthworks or large civil projects. Also a solid knowledge of both 2D and 3D drawing packages.


To be successful our client has asked that the following criteria’s must be met:

• Extensive Civil-Structural experience, ideally with some mining experience 
• 6 to 8 years of mining project experience 
• Worked in a similar role with EPCM or Client 
• Intimate knowledge of, and demonstrable experience of, Bulk Earthworks, Bulk Haulage, Infrastructure and Civil project work 
• Extensive 2D Experience
